SLCDPU Staff discuss the Cornell Lift Station with Rose Park Community members.
Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities (SLCDPU) staff enjoyed an evening at the Riverside Park for the Rose Park Community Council’s last meeting before the summer break. Residents, community leaders, and various Salt Lake City departments gathered for a barbecue and speed-networking event to share updates and discuss items affecting the local community.
Engaging with our community is a priority for SLCDPU and we enjoyed reaching out about current and future improvement projects taking place in the Rose Park area. One such project in the planning phase is looking at constructing a stormwater treatment facility at 1000 N. and Cornell Street. This feasibility study will look at improving quality of water being discharged into the Jordan River at this location and the opportunities to provide an amenity for the community in the process.
